ABOUT MRS. MARTIN

My name is Jan Martin, and I have been having fun in Kindergarten for 30 years! Over the years there have been a lot of changes in Kindergarten but I'm excited about the current learning standards we have with the Common Core Curriculum! I enjoy working hard each day to challenge my students, and I have high expectations for all of them!

 

I am a graduate of Truman State University and I have a master's degree from Western Illinois University. My husband, Gary, and I live on a farm northwest of Monmouth. We share our farm with two dogs--Amos, a St. Bernard, and Luba, a black lab. We also have a grouchy cat named Monty, six donkeys, and a herd of cows and calves. When I'm away from school, I enjoy traveling, gardening, and reading.
